HOW TO ACT IN CASE OF DEATH OF A RELATIVE / CLOSE PERSON
IF A RELATIVE DIED IN A HOSPITAL, BOARDING HOUSE OR REHABILITATION FACILITY
In the event of the death of a relative in a medical institution, the medical staff notifies the relatives of the death. The deceased is taken to the hospital morgue. Relatives can obtain a death certificate at the office of the medical institution in which the deceased died, at the pathological department, if an autopsy was performed, at the social or rehabilitation institution where the person died.
REGISTRATION OF THE FACT OF DEATH
After receiving a death certificate from a family doctor or medical institution, it must be registered in the death register of any registry office no later than six days. In aim to register the fact of death and obtain a death certificate, it is necessary to submit to the registry office the passport or ID card of the deceased, as well as death certificate issued by a doctor or medical institution.
The person registering the death of a relative must also present valid identity document. If the relatives decide to cooperate with the organization of the funeral services, the issue of the death certificate can be entrusted to the representatives of the corresponding company. A death certificate is required for further burial, obtaining a place in the cemetery, receiving an inheritance and other activities.
